A game studio located in Northeast Ohio, the throughline of the Great Tree Games development philosophy is mentally stimulating gameplay. Brainchild of Environmental-Chemist-turned-Game-Designer Jackson Fielder, Great Tree Games develops games for Simulation, Education and Training (Serious Games) as well as games for Arts, Entertainment and Storytelling.
Great Tree Games has worked in partnership with Case Western Reserve University and the MinuteClinics in CVS and Target locations to create a set of virtual scenarios for nurse practitioners, collectively called The Virtual Clinic. The lessons consist of multiple serious games, as well as written material, all available as part of a learning management system available for employee access. The goal of the Virtual Clinic is to teach the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms framework to nurse practitioners and physician associates who staff MinuteClinics around the country. The first of these two serious games, Virtual Clinic Scenarios, was released first.
The second serious game in the CVS Virtual Clinic series is Virtual Clinic Competency. This version of the game delivers design improvements as well as coverage of a separate section of the learning material. In this serious game, Great Tree Games takes on an even more central design role as well as continuing to render Unity development services. This section of Virtual Clinic released on Aug 17, 2021, and completes the Virtual Clinic lesson.
Great Tree Games has worked together with Pulse, LLC to create Sales Academy VR, a customer service training game for Oculus quest 2! this store VR experience is designed to help sales associates train to become better at being receptive to in-person customer needs. The VR experience includes fully voiced and lip-synced customer characters, video, and a navigable virtual store to explore.
Great Tree Games has worked with Razoredge, a VR studio in Cleveland, to bring Future of Pet to life. This VR experience is designed to show future developments in the pet food industry and inform those in the field of current developments towards adaptive and pet-aware technologies they might be working with in the coming years. In this first version of several, we focus on the character Sam as she addresses her pet cat’s changing needs.
Great Tree Games worked once again with Razoredge to deliver a VR experience for an academic client- the Therasphere training game involves the detailed setup of an experimental cancer treatment device. Importantly, this training ensures that expensive time and energy needed to train medical staff on this delicate procedure can be done virtually, anytime, and anywhere, speeding up training and lowering cost.
In a follow-up to Future of Pet-Sam, Future of Pet-Maria is another dynamic and interesting glimpse into future pet care. This version, following the character Maria, has an interactive pet dog and other dynamic sequences such as driving!

It's hip to be square! Inspired by Smash-Likes and Platform Fighters, Squareforce is a flying fighting game where you can build your own moveset and duke it out in 2.5d spaceship combat. Powered by the mysterious Squareforce, each spacecraft can equip up to 6 moves that have different strengths and weaknesses, and players assemble their character's kits as part of the game's strategy. Squareforce put Great Tree Games on the map as a studio when players at Indypopcon and GDEX took notice.
